The Council of Venice have picked up a mysterious distress signal. The temporary equipment they have set up here is not powerful enough to make out the entire message, but there might be enough clues in the parts they were able to discern.

Journal Entries

  • Tier 1: The signals and message fragments would have been saved on Amparo's computer.
    • Check the laptop for more information
    • Find and hack the first dish
    • Find and hack the second dish
    • Find and hack the third dish
    • Find and hack the fourth dish
  • Tier 2: The coordinated dishes yielded more data fragments, however the signal was still encrypted. Maybe there are clues in the message that lead to the location it was transmitted from.
    • Find the source of the transmission

[Identical to reports from Scorched Desert missions King of the Hill and The Defence Never Rests.]

The entire world is burning. We can see it in the child's eyes. The desert is an ideal test case for the blazing horrors to come.

The thirsty visions, the symbols carved in skin, the cries of martyrs at the stake - do not shy away from any of it. They are all part of the equation.

[Identical to reports for Kingsmouth mission Book of the Bokor, for Savage Coast mission Stranger Than Fiction, and for Blue Mountain mission Skeleton in the Attic.]

Allow me to apologise for seeming abrupt, impersonal, and presumptuous. I simply feel it is my duty to inform you that you have exhibited great competence in the field, and, if ever you should tire of all work and the mere promise of play... Look, I'm not saying it would be easy, or even possible the way things currently stand.

Kirsten is still full of cheer and encouragement, I presume? We've met a few times at Council meetings. I find her terribly acute.

Take a stroll through London sometime. Breathe in the tradition. See how it feels. That's all I ask.

TRANSMIT - initiate disclaimer signal - RECEIVE - sweetling!

Nightmare alley is getting crowded. Look at the line! Come see the monsters claw through time. Hurry, hurry, hurry.

There will be a slight additional charge for this attraction, but it's not a dollar, it's not a dime - it's a cold smithereen minted in grime.

WITNESS - rules and regulations. No cameras, please, only notes. No one under the age of two.

Come see the world before it's through!

Don't be huffy because we hack. The show goes on! So must you.

Hurry, hurry, hurry.

Across the pits of fire. Fourty-four beasts crave what I carry, buN I cling to it in the house of death! Heed my words!". The "Pits of Fire" refers to the Eastern Scar. Other Information

  • This mission is officially an item side mission. But it behaves more like a investigation mission, requiring you to piece together various clues, and is actually trickier than some official investigation missions.
  • This mission requires a lot of jumping and coordination skills. It can also be fairly frustrating trying to figure out where to go to get onto all the various rooftops if you have no patience for these types of missions.
