Report
Dragon
A convincing demonstration. We approve of diversified means. The Dragon cannot promise you strength in numbers. Fate decides how many we are. But, as you have shown, numbers mean nothing in the face of preparedness. Your data allows us to analyse our enemies' strengths and weaknesses. This will make us prepared. For now, we are excited by the early results of long-range fire tactics. The greatest gift is an enemy who runs toward you only to lay down and kiss your feet.
Illuminati
We're very happy with your diversity of destructive means. It allows us to track enemy responses to fire, shock, impairment, etc. The tactical advantages of combining long and short range strategies should be clear at this point. So keep mixing things up. As suspected, the draug are like fish - they can't keep out of water for long stretches of time. By blocking the sewer we've restricted a key access point into town and, hopefully, limited draug influence to a more manageable radius.
High Five
Templar
Good show! We've been able to track the effectiveness of the devices you employed. This will help us make further inquiries into the weaknesses of both draug and zombies. Hopefully it will also sharpen your tactical strategies. On a personal note, I thought the mines proved particularly effective. They exposed the single greatest weakness of our current enemies: predictability. We may not outnumber our mindless foes, but we can certainly outwit them.R. Sonnac
Walkthrough
There are 5 tiers to this mission.
Tier 1/5
- Pick up mines from the crate next to Moose
- Wooden crate, at (193, 346)
- Place the mines to lure to their death
- Easiest is to run up to a group of them, use a mine out of your inventory, and then back up a couple steps so they advance onto the mine
Tier 2/5
- Pick up Moose's propane-filled bottles
- Use his wooden crate again
- Use the bottle to burn zombies
Tier 3/5
- Pick up Moose's homemade napalm
- More goodies from the crate
- Pour napalm into the sewer
- Run out onto the street, turn right down Lovecraft Lane, and use the first sewer lid you come to on Lovecraft Lane
Tier 4/5
- Pick up one of Moose's IEDs
- It must be a very big box
- Attach IED to an abandoned scooter
- You can find them all over Kingsmouth. There is one down Elm Street at (255, 289), and one directly on Arkham Avenue before the church
Tier 5/5
- Pick up Moose's arsenal from his crate
- Maybe it's actually a Portable Hole
- Enter the sewers
- Straight down Arkham Avenue to (271, 386), use the sewer lid
- You will enter the Kingsmouth Sewer Junction
- Put down Moose's arsenal on a dry spot
- Right at entrance
- Grab some explosives from the arsenal
- Use the box
- Place the IED
- Look for the white [] brackets on the orange device that looks like a generator* Place out mines
- Drop them in the water wherever you like - mostly along the passage to the right - by using them out of your inventory
- The sewer monsters have been alerted! Use Moose's explosives on them before they trigger the IED!
- Throw propane bottles at them by using the bottles out of your inventory
- Survive the ordeal
- This can be a rough fight if you pick it up very early in your adventuring career, you may want to take it easy, let the explosives do the work, and try not to draw too much attention
Other Information
NOTE: Pick up the brochure at the corner of the sewer junction. It gives The Coming Dawn mission. The Coming Dawn can only be picked up while on this tier 5 of this mission, if you don't get it the first time in, you'll have to re-run the mission to get the brochure the second time around.
