Dialogue
Introductory cutscene dialogue
- Red: You're wondering why all this evil came visiting us, out here in the middle of nowhere
- Red: It sure ain't the climate.
- Red: There's a local legend - and like most local legends, it's probably true -
- Red: about a war between good and evil that took place on this island a thousand years ago.
- Red: Our tribe fought invaders from the south who tried to awaken the darkness that sleeps below our mountains.
- Red: We fought bravely, but they were many, and powerful, and we were close to defeat when -
- Kyra: (interrupting) When strangers from across the sea come to our aid. I've heard this story a million times.
- Kyra: Tall, white gods, bearing magical swords. Why are the gods always white? And male?
- Amy: Kyra!
- Kyra: What?
- Red: It's a valid question - and one you should definitely ask someone else some other time.
- Red: The strangers brought a weapon, but they left us with powerful magic inscribed in stones.
- Red: (to Kyra) Your grandfather knew how this magic worked, but that knowledge died with him.
- Red: Whatever the rest of the tribe knew, they did a hell of a job forgetting.
- Red: The answer to how our ancestors fought the enemy could be in those stones.
- Ami: We could certainly use a few gods on our side right about now.
- Kyla: They're here, Mom. At least they're not all white. Or male.

Trivia
The runes used during this quest seem to be a variation of Younger Futhark runes, with a few variants:
- The "A" rune slopes from upper right to lower left rather than upper left to lower right.
- The "H" rune crossbars are curved, but do not touch
- The "Th" rune is more angular.
There are runes written on the bottom of the standing stones, below the primary letter for that standing stone. It is possible that they could be decrypted using the Younger Futhark Runes.
