A dusty tome on Madame Roget's bookshelf is full of details about occult symbolism. An understanding of symbolic patterns can be applied to making weapons more potent.
Journal Entries
- Tier 1: Study the patterns in the occult tome and learn to arrange runes into a glyph. The glyph can then be inscribed into a chaos focus to make the chaos focus more powerful.
- Collect runes
- Collect the glyph kit
- Collect the chaos focus
- Combine the runes to create a glyph
- Inscribe the glyph onto the chaos focus

Note: This mission teaches you how to use the crafting system to create glyphs.
There is only 1 tier to this mission. The "Collect stuff" steps can be done in any order.
Tier 1/1
- Examine the book of occult symbols
- On the bookshelf, where you got the mission
- Collect runes
- They are on the bookshelf as well
- Collect the glyph kit
- Sitting on a stool, to the left of the door as you are facing it to exit
- Collect the chaos focus
- In the corner, between Madame Roget and the glyph kit, it's hanging on the wall
- Combine the runes to create a glyph
- Your Mission Journal now has (and always will) the instructions for doing this.
- You can refer to the journal for the instructions, or these are basically the same:
- Press "Y" to open your crafing window
- Get the "Ravens Knock Runes" from your inventory and drop them in the 3rd column of the 1st row in your crafting window
- Shift+Left-click the stack of runes to split them, and drop the next group at the 2nd column of the 2nd row
- Put the 3rd rune in the 4th column of the 2nd row
- Put the 4th rune in the 3rd column of the 3rd row
- The runes in your assembly window should now match the pattern in the book
- Put the "Raven's Knock Assembly Tookit" in the "Toolkit" box on the crafting window
- Click "Assemble"
- You should receive "Accureate Glyph"
- Inscribe the glyph onto the chaos focus
- Put the Glyp created by the previous step into the assembly box of the crafting window
- Put the Chaos focus in the assembly box of the crafting window
- Click Assemble
- You will receive an Accurate Fata Morgana (Quality Level1 Chaos Focus Weapon)
Other Notes
- NOTE: The most common error in this mission is to use the wrong runes, toolkits, glyphs, or weapons. The items you need are unique to this mission, but they look exactly like regular runes, toolkits, etc. Make sure you double check the description / text of the item you are using to make sure it is indeed the right one
