An unknown magus has left ritual preparations for the creation of an animated scarecrow - hopefully more housebroken than those which stalk the farmyards.

It's good to learn new old things. But I'm going to level with you, I think you and I signed up too late to really get nostalgic about necromancy.
There are staff who can remember when we used scarecrows as perimeter detail out in New Mexico, but that was like the 50s, God, early 50s. In the time it took you to stitch that freak together, I could have requisitioned a dozen unmanned drones. And I don't even have US military clearance!
But, it's broadening your skillset, and who am I to define your career goal? Trick question.

Ordinarily we frown on the creation of potentially homicidal animated servants. I appreciate that when in mystic Transylvania, one does as the mystic Transylvanians do.
And, as it did not require a sacrifice or infernal pact, it could be said this is a more agreeably rural form of necromancy than perpetrated by Henderson's method. That's the remark I shall make when passing this report on.
The next matter is: what importance did this windmill hold to warrant magical protection? I trust you're well ahead of me on this one.

Walkthrough
There are 2 tiers to this mission.
While gathering materials, watch out for the various Scarecrow on the farm (Massacre Scarecrow, Charnel Cutter, and Thing Possessed) - they are Nightmare difficulty, and harder than most other monsters in the area
Tier 1/2
- Examine the handwritten note
- On the floor where you got the mission
- Retrieve a dead horse's heart
- There is a yellow-outlined dead horse at (567,893)
- Find a weapon
- There is a chainsaw at the bottom of the stairs as you come down
- Retrieve the head of a scarecrow
- There is one at (608,869); there are others, some are easier or harder to select
- Gather hay
- There is a pile at (609,853) near a building, guarded by a Massacre Scarecrow
- Locate the arcane symbol
- Inside a barn at (616,863), with a bunch of unfinished scarecrows
- Assemble the scarecrow
- Use the cross
Tier 2/2
- Bring the scarecrow to the windmill
- The Hollander's Mill
- If you get too far from your scarecrow on the way to the windmill it will turn hostile, and you must return to the arcane symbol.
Other Information
If doing this in a group, each individual has to pick up pieces themselves (this may get tedious with the horse heart, as it is slow to respawn). You will then get a scarecrow for each person.
