Ptahmose examined the ancient Jinn tablet, and concluded that the place it speaks of lies beneath the Black Pyramid. The tablet speaks of a hidden passage.
Tier 1
With the help of the jinn tablet, perhaps you can find the hidden entrance that opens to the bepths below the Black Pyramid.

Walkthrough

WARNING: This is an extremely long and complex mission. It is not advised to take on this task unless you have several hours and extreme patience available. You have been warned.

Tier 1/5

  • Locate the hidden entrance in the Gauntlet.

At 617,639 you will find an alcove with several torches right next to markings on the walls. Use the torches for the corresponding symbols: 1. Two ropes intertwined with a fan on top (Hereafter known as the Braid) 2. The Eye of Ra (The Eye of Ra is the Right-hand eye, The Eye of Horus is the Left-hand eye) 3. The Arch of a doorway
  • Enter the hidden pyramid entrance.
    • Using the double-doors will transport you to the solo-instance Beneath the Black Pyramid

Tier 2/5

  • Explore the Pyramid.
  • Acquire a light source.
    • In the first alcove on the left there is a torch on the ground.
  • Light the torch at a wall brazier.
  • Explore the pyramid
    • In the first room you come to, you'll find the mission starting item Ancient Relics for the mission They Belong in a Museum. The first Ancient Relic (1) is an Urn right beside the starting item.
    • If you are attacked by the scarabs, you can drop your torch to fight them normally, then pick the torch back up after you are done.
    • You can use the torch to burn the cobwebs blocking your way.
  • Solve the puzzle to open the door.

There are a series of symbols on tiles on the floor, matching symbols on either side of the doorway.

  • Explore the pyramid.
    • At the first split, the right hand path leads to a dead end with some scarabs and a large Pharaoh's Bust Ancient Relic (2).
    • Take note of the orange arms painted on the walls at each intersection.
    • At the next intersection, the right hand is a short dead end. Forwards leads to another split where both paths lead to a set of two torches next to an Eye of Horus Ancient Relic (3) on the wall. The left hand path leads to a large chamber with a black pit taking up most of the floor.
  • Cross the pit.
    • Falling into the pit leads you into a long corridor that eventually spits you back out at the pit room. If you drop your torch, a new one can always be found at the tunnel entrance in the pit.

Anything seem off about the space between your platform and the opposite side?

If you're having trouble seeing the symbols on the walls, try turning up your View Distance up to at least 2. There are rocks and dirt appearing to hover in mid-air across the pit in both the center and along the right wall, because the actual pathway is invisible. The center set of rocks is a red herring, so setup on the Eastern set of rocks. For the purposes of this guide, treat the target platform as if it were North.

1. Taking the Eastern path, you can advance North until you are under the Eye of Ra on the Eastern wall, then turn West.

2. Advance West until you are even with the Sitting Duck on the Southern wall, then turn South.

Tier 3/5

  • Explore the pyramid.
    • Inside the tunnel both pathways will eventually lead you to a downward slope where you will have to outrun a boulder to reach a room with another pit. In this room on the starting platform are a number of sarcophagi, one of which will be holding a Golden Ankh Ancient Relic (4).
  • Cross the bottomless pit.
    • If you lose your torch, a new one is right near the entrance to this room.

Near the bloodstain on the starting platform you should notice a deactivated Jump Pad. Next to this is a tile with an Insect symbol on it.

On the right hand side there is another tile with an Insect symbol on the wall, next to a lever. Activate the lever to turn on the Jump Pad. Once you do this several Creeping Death mummies will become active in the room. They are slow moving, but if they touch you they will instantly kill you.

In the next tunnel the Creeping Death will follow you, so keep moving. You will have to run through a series of arrow traps that deal minor damage to you. Then you will come upon a ground tile that if you step on it will activate several fire traps that will instantly kill you, so you must avoid it. Facing the fire trap tile, take the door on your left.
  • Make it past the traps.
    • The doorway will take you to a hallway with sarcophagi on both sides, an acid pool through the middle, and a Legend on the left. Hop across the acid using the sarcophagi, taking time to let your health heal if necessary. After reaching the end you can step on a tile switch that will turn off the traps so you can go back to get the Legend.
  • Explore the pyramid
    • Travelling along the tunnel, you'll reach an intersection with a forward path going up, and a left hand path going down. Going up will lead you to a Weathered Scroll Ancient Relic (5) and another Legend. Going down the left hand path will lead to a 4-way with a dead end on the left, and a Legend at the end of the right hand path way, with several scarabs worshiping a Royal Scarab Ancient Relic (6) on the wall.
    • Heading forward will lead you to another room with a pit in the center. Several raised columns populate the room, with Jump Pads on top of them.
  • Cross the bottomless pit
    • For the purposes of this guide, treat the wall you enter the room from as South.

Turn the Crane lever on your left ON to turn on the first Jump Pad, which will take you to a platform with a switch tile that you will land on.

Turn off the Worshiper lever in order to reach the platform with the Eye of Ra lever. Turn ON the Eye of Ra lever, then drop to the floor to take the Jump Pad back up to the Worshiper lever. Turn on the Worshiper lever, then take the Jump pad to reach the second switch tile, which activate a new Jump Pad on the floor taking you back up to the second switch tile.

Taking the Eastern Jump Pad will lead to a platform with both the Ankh and Arch levers in the ON position. Turn off the Arch lever and return to the second switch tile, taking the West jump pad to reach a platform with pads heading West and South. Take the West pad to eventually reach the platform with the Legend on it. Take the South pad to get back to the floor, then use the pad to return to the second switch tile.

Now return to the Ankh lever and turn it OFF. Return to the second switch tile, and take the West pad to the platform with West and South pads. Take the west pad to arrive at a platform with the Whip lever in the OFF position. Turn the Whip lever ON, then take the South pad to return to the floor. Take the jump pad to the second switch tile.

Go up to the Ankh lever and turn it ON. Return to the second switch tile. Take the West pad, and then take the next West pad as well, which will eventually bring you to the Braid lever in the OFF position. Turn the Braid lever ON, return to the second switch tile, turn the Ankh lever OFF, return to the second switch tile, take the West pad, take the next West pad, then turn the Whip lever OFF. Take the South pad to return to the floor, then return to the second switch tile.

Turn the Ankh lever ON, return to the second switch tile, take the West pad, then West pad again which will eventually drop you on a platform just above the exit.

Tier 4/5

  • Explore the pyramid
    • There is a new torch just inside the next tunnel.

At the next intersection you can go left and up to a dead end room with a large blue crystal (another Ancient Relic). Going forward leads you down to another large room with four tall columns with symbols on them, and a series of floor tile switches.
  • Enable the jump pad.

From the Free Space, go North starting pattern 3 (Arch, W, W, S, S, S, W, W, N) then go to the North outer edge of the tiles.

Tier 5/5

  • Explore the pyramid.
    • A new torch is on the ground just inside the tunnel.

At the first intersection, take the left path down past the cobwebs and the burning mummy corpse. At the next split, the right hand path leads to a dead end with a Nefertiti Bust (another Ancient Relic), and the left hand path leads to a chamber with more Creeping Death. Run past them into the next room. On the floor is a tile switch that will kill the Creeping Deaths, and a jump pad back up to the overlook.
  • Explore the labyrinth.
    • A common tactic to escape a labyrinth is to pick one wall, and follow it all the way through.

Take a left as soon as you enter to find a Legend.

Taking the East path will lead to an apparent dead end. Touch the brick on the wall to open up the next section.
  • Navigate the labyrinth.

Following the left hand wall will eventually lead to another faux end. Touch the brick to move the wall and open up the next section. Following along will lead to a Sarcophogai which will spawn a Creeping Death, and a passage to the right. Go into the right hand path and find the Eye of Ra on the Wall. Touch it to open the wall just beyond the Sarcophogai. Have the Creeping Death chase you around the central pillar until you can get past the Sarcophogai and step on the second tile switch, killing the Creeping Death.

Next you'll find a series of rooms with Switches on bricks to move around various walls. Activate in order Whip, Arch/Braid, Arch, Arch/Braid again.

Continue forward through the poison dart traps and step on the third tile switch, opening the next section. The next room will have a large Cobra painting, and a Creeping Death waiting at the end of the hall. THIS CREEPING DEATH IS SPECIAL. Unlike the others, you can sneak past him. WAIT for him to walk past you and trail behind him, taking the hallway on your left (this is also the only one open as of this point). At the end of the hallway is an Arch brick, which will open up the next pathway near the Cobra tower. Run back, being cautious to not trigger the Creeping Death and into the hallway on your left, follow this passage to find the Whip brick, which will open up the last hallway at the Cobra tower. In that hallway you'll find a fourth tile switch to kill the Creeping Death and open up the next section.

Going through the passage you'll find another Sarcophogai with another Creeping Death, with an Arch tile on the ground in front of it. Quickly hit the Arch tile, then take the newly opened passage to go through the poison darts. At the end you'll find a brick that will open a wall with a fifth tile switch and opening up the next section.

Next you'll find two large Sarcophogai and an Arch switch right next to a wall marked with the Arch. Stepping on the Arch tile will spawn a Dessicated Colossus from one of the Sarcophogai, and open the wall. Within you'll find two hallways forming a loop, one with a series of poison dart traps, and one with several symbol bricks. In order, hit the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th bricks to move the walls allowing the beam of light to pass through, reflecting off the Crystal Staves and onto the giant Eye of Ra symbol. This will open the passageway the beam of light came through leading to a sixth tile switch and opening the next section.

Hit the brick at the end of the short hallway to open up the way into the blue force field room containing the Vessel of The Unbound. A cutscene will play wherein you touch the Vessel, and are transported to the pocket dimension prison of The Unbound.

Thus concludes this mission, and starts the mission Beneath You It Eats Its Name.
