There's a little laboratory in Saint Petersburg that doesn't know it works for us. So few actually know they work for us. You are most privileged.
Your findings have been sent and - depending on the results - we will tell you what you need to know.
For now, you would do well not to mistake this substance for mere modern waste. This appears to be an ancient pathogen. We suspect it has lurked, in some variation, for a long time, longer even than the Dragon.

Good work. I've forwarded your findings to our white coats. They're a bunch of pizza-in-the-blender types, but I would take any one of them over the entire CDC.
Early observations suggest that the Filth primarily targets the pontine tegmentum. So if you have a good pontine tegmentum cap, wear it.
We'll throw more rats in the cage and keep you updated on the results.

Outstanding! We mustn’t overlook the importance of scientific fieldwork. Regardless of what we call this substance – Filth, Category A, Wellspring of the Apocalypse – beating it back will require a comprehensive approach that includes the art of microscopy.
For now, we can tell you it appears to target neurological cells. As more information becomes available, we shall certainly tell you about it.

- There are 2 in the crate the laptop is on, there is also a couple on the ground nearby
- Gather 4 samples from the infected
- Violent Infected, Infected Contaminator, or any other Filth-Corrupted Creature in the bog
- Gather 6 samples from the shades
- Shade Debaser, Insidious Shade, Shade Shadowcutter, Seeping Shade, or any other Shade in the bog
Tier 2/2
- Bring the samples to the CDC tent
- Go to the tent next to Marianne Chen in the CDC camp, and use the tent door
- Use a CDC shower to disinfect
- Step under the 4-pole looking thing next to the tent
