The Punisher Deck is designed for early-game 'tanking', allowing its user to sponge up damage and Hate, while at the same time engaging multiple opponents at once with its Area-of-Effect attacks. If the enemy becomes too much to handle, the Deck does come with a defensive Self-Buff and a Life-Leeching attack to help the player regain their footing.
The majority of the Deck's construction uses Hammer powers for its impressive defensive capabilities, and its powerful column area-of-effect attacks. The Assault Rifle's addition exists exclusively for the additional multiple-target attack, and the Life-Leech to increase survivability.
The deck works primarily by opening up with Shockwave, (triggering Street Fighter up to five times in the process) and then systematically taking out the survivors with a combination of Smashes and Haymakers, to exploit the enemy's Impaired state. Hell to Pay exists to engage multiple targets with a separate Column area-of-effect while Shockwave is still on cooldown. If/When the player engages too many foes at once, they can pop Stonewalled and use Anima Shot to recover while Cool, Calm & Collected keeps enemy attention on them, before retaliating with Fire at Will to regain lost ground.
