Nicholas is the only son and one of three surviving children of business tycoon Nathaniel Winter; who originally purchased the Henderson Farm and built the Atlantic Island Park back in the late 1970s. When the park closed in 1980, Nathaniel Winter send this wife and son back to Boston and rewrote his will, leaving all of his belongings to Nicholas, which, by the time he died, left only one failed amusement park.
