Strange Phone calls

User Robgoblin posted about receiving a strange phone call from number 347.482.2012 that was hard to understand, and user pmavers posted a link to the [mp3] that they made of the message left.

The audio is suggested to be "After the darkness signs... comes the darkness itself." By user MarcianTobay Astral 707 cleaned up the [audio]. and Xibbling posted a slowed version of the audio.

Later in the day, multiple users received a call, with mixed reports on the content.

Dec 5th

Nefarius in post 514 first reported a new call. Shaz on the same page mentioned his call contained the words "greatness" and "in great". That call was recorded and uploaded by Robotnik and a similar message was uploaded by wahoozerman.

There are reports of a different message, first by user ocelot and also Mal A'menz who stated, "it was a male voice proclaiming that the end is coming soon and that I should enjoy each moment as it could be my last."

Both calls are from the same number that was previously used.

Dec 6th

aspis posted a link to the third (possibly fourth) in the new thread. His quoted transcription is "..to fight, and even to die for. Remember this."

xenanos posted a collection of the audio on [sound cloud]. Scargo posted a slowed down version of the "Darkest Times" audio

Dec 7th

Azirphaeli reports a new call. Saeryn interprets the new call as "It will take a great deal of courage to face our fate." and Antithesissimo uploads the recording

An additional call was reported by Noirin stating "Information is the key to our success, and thus survival. that is how we knew they were coming."

Planeseeker posted receiving a call stating "...and that is how I know, We will overcome." with a link in post to the [audio file]. Lunchbox1911 posted an additional link to more of the [audio].

User Forbisjunk reports receiving the Greatest message with the end "the future will change the past."

After logging into Chatango you can activate the next piece of the puzzle.User wahoozerman posts a way to the next step. Type "/man ghosthack" use PW: "ltr"

After opening the console, visitors must determine commands to activate the broadcast.

Hello Agents, I acknowledge the progression you have all made to find the situation room and that you have managed to start it up. Right now we are monitoring the Morning Light who are operating this room, to find further information about this division. One thing i have found is that 12.12.12 is an important date, i am not sure why yet but its on my radar. December 10, 2012: Message Revealed

An update around 05:00am UTC time (midnight East Coast US), seven new screens appeared and the Bomber Explosion GIF was returned. Ozeagle posted a link to the second set. During this time, forum member Ariensky Crowley while manipulating browser cookies left by The Situation Room site, managed also to find a previously unseen video. Shortly there after, all of the previous images that were showing were again replaced by static aside from the Test Card.

Members who logged in later in the day began reporting seeing the full video of the man in the GIF DIWD5.gif with audio playing. He recites the full audio that was referenced in many of the phone calls.

December 11 and 12, 2012

At approximately 11:22pm UTC time, the lightbulb GIF returned.

Other GIFs began returning, and a new one as well with user Skjala posted frames of here.. User Girlbrush posted a cleaned up version of the frame which had red text . Other images included pieces of a face, which were assembled by Skjala posted . Shadrach stated that The Situation Room chat discovered that the assembled picture was of Caesar .

After identifying the image as Caesar, user Alecient suggests the image is a hint to use a Caesar cipher . Wahoozerman with the help of Zeitgeist find a new GIF in a pastebin by using a ROT-13 'caesar' cipher on the red text included in the new GIF. The pastebin page had the title ironridgewater which led users Leck and zado to the Iron Ridge Water website. A summary of the steps is posted here.

CaptainMark87 posts that a new screen is up stating 'Take The Test'. Doomchild uploaded the new mission video here.

Noanth posted a link to the PDF given during the mission briefing. During this time, users started receiving emails from Agent Msika, informing them the Situation Room was ready and giving them a pin to access the first mission.

Upon starting the mission, the 'Agent' must complete a series of steps outlined in the PDF to complete the mission, using an IP address (137.227.232.150) given in the mission briefing. Lodestar posts a set of instructions here that he copied from Kaltern in the Situation Room chat. Anashel posts contact info to receive a PIN for Agents experiencing problems receiving pins. Scroffa captured a screen of the distortion in the Mission Video.

Upon completion of the mission, a third video plays.

Kuttner finds a hidden JPG file while doing the mission . He states he was able to enter it as a command during the mission after updating the configuration. Elthryn then links a new GIF that appeared in the monitors. JacksonPembrandt identifies the hidden file as Oglalla, Nebraska.
