Burst is an Ability Category. Abilities in the Burst category apply their effects multiple times in an instant.

Burst Active Abilities

Assault Rifle

  • Safety Off (Engage) - Builds 1 resource for each equipped weapon. A single target Burst attack that hits 3 times, dealing XX physical damage per hit.
  • Three Round Burst (Take Point) - Consume all Assault Rifle Resources. A single target Burst attack that hits 3 times, dealing XX - XX physical damage per hit, based on the number of resources consumed.
  • Anima Burst (Squad Duty) - Builds 1 Assault Rifle Resource. A Burst attack that hits 3 times, dealing XX physical damage per hit. Heals the defensive target for XX and XX% of the damage dealt.

Fists

  • Prey on the Weak (Feral) - Builds 1 resource for each equipped weapon. A single target Burst attack that hits 3 times, dealing XX physicla damage per hit. If the target is Impaired, this attack builds 1 additional Fist Resource.
  • Surgical Steel (Warming Up) - Consumes all Fist Resources. A Burst heal that heals the defensive target 3 times for XX - XX per application and gives a heal over time effect that heals for XX - XX every second for 4 seconds. Heal effects scale based on the number of resources consumed. Gives you the Savage Sweep effect, causing the next Fist resource consumer you activate to deal XX - XX physical damage in an area around you.
  • One-Two (The Wilderness) - Consumes all Fist Resources. A Burst attack with two consecutive hits that deal XX and XX - XX physical damage, based on the number of resources consumed. Gives you the Savage Sweep effect, causing the next Fist resource consumer you activate to deal XX - XX physical damage in an area around you.

Chaos Focus

  • Call for Eris (Theory) - Consumes all Chaos Resources. A Burst attack that deals XX magical damage. Also performs an additional hit per resource consumed, dealing XX - XX magical damage per hit. Damage of the additional hits scales based on the number of resources consumed.
  • Four Horsemen (Teorema) - Consumes all Chaos Resources. A single target Burst that hits 4 times, dealing XX - XX magical damage per hit, based on the number of resources consumed. Each hit causes the next hit to deal more damage, this bonus stops if a hit glances.
  • Run Rampant (Building Blocks) - Builds 1 resource for each equipped weapon. A single target Burst attack that hits 3 times, dealing XX magical damage per hit. Gives you a single stack of the Evade Rating effect, which increases your Evade Rating by 35 per stack for 8 seconds. This effect can stack up to 5 times.

Passives Modifying Burst Abilities

Assault Rifle

  • Short Controlled Bursts (Take Point) - Increases Hit Rating for Burst attacks by 200. In addition, the Critical Chance and Penetration Chance of Burst attacks is increased by 2.5%.
  • Improved Bursts (Squad Duty) - All your Burst abilities are 7.5% more effective.

Fists

  • Ferocity (The Wilderness) - If at least 2 hits of a Burst ability do not glance, you gain one stack of a beneficial effect that increases direct damage by 3% per stack for 5 seconds. This effect can stack up to 3 times.
  • Healing Sparks (Warming Up) - Whenever you activate a Burst ability, you give the defensive target a heal over time effect that heals for XX every second for 4 seconds.

Chaos Focus

  • Ripple Effect (Teorema) - Whenever 2 hits in a row of a Burst attack do not glance, your next attack will perform an additional hit dealing XX magical damage.
  • Burst of Energy (Building Blocks) - Damaging Burst abilities give you the Minor Ward effect if at least 2 hits do not glance, which reduces all damage received by 7.5% for 8 seconds.
