Revelation

With the last tweets, it was revealed that major changes were made to the Dark Days Are Coming website, including a quiz which revealed three new player factions, the Templars, the Illuminati, and the The Dragon. These factions appear to not only be the factions that players will align themselves with in The Secret World, but also represent different philosophies on how the organizations handle secrets and revelations from The Secret World just beyond our own.

On September 8th, 2009, Ragnar confirmed on his blog that this was not part of an Alternate Reality Game event, in his words: "far from it." Instead, it was a personal viral marketing campaign. In the past, Funcom has denied all knowledge of any events transpiring in the ARG. Also, while the material revealed was information on the gameplay, the ARG deals with, what would be, real-life events and people.
