REPEATABLE (Recommended Level 50)
The forest is infested by the Filth, and all who travel it - supernatural or not - are in danger of being consumed by its corruption. The Iele is especially upset about the fungal Filth crawling across the old woods and want it cleared no matter the cost.
Tier 1
The Iele partly blames the secret world for the corruption of the forest. Truly, it's a terrible situation, but an angry Iele in addition makes it even worse. Find and destroy some fungal Filth to appease her.
  • Pick up some wooden spikes
  • Destroy Fungal Incubators and collect their corpses (0/6)
  • Destroy Fungal Seeders and collect their corpses (0/3)
Tier 2
Despite destroying several fungal Filth creatures, they seem to come back in ever greater numbers. Perhaps finding the heart of their regeneration would stop the flow of new Filth.
  • Locate the Fungal Hive
  • Exterminate Fungal Chitterers and collect their corpses (0/12)
  • Destroy Sporepods (0/5)
Tier 3
The spores of the fungal Filth should no longer spread as easily, but there's still the issue of the source of the creatures. Search for the origin of the Filth's spread in the forest and get some samples to send to HQ.
  • Search for the source of the corruption
  • Engage Fungal Becomings and collect samples of the Spore Growth they throw around (0/2)
  • Destroy Fungal Becomings and collect their corpses (0/2)
Tier 4
The worst is over, and the source of the fungal expansion has been eradicated for now. To discourage another rise and further appease the Iele, impale the corpses of the fungal creatures on stakes close to the forest's edge.
  • Impale fungal creatures (0/4)

Walkthrough

Tier 1/4

    • Leaning against the tree next to her
  • 0/6 Destroy Fungal Incubators and collect their corpses
  • 0/3 Destroy Fungal Seeders and collect their corpses
    • There are several of both kinds in the area marked on your map

Tier 2/4

  • Locate the Fungal Hive
  • 0/12 Exterminate Fungal Chitterers and collect their corpses
  • 0/5 Destroy Sporepods
    • Whenever you destroy a Sporepod, a swarm of Fungal Chitterers will appear and attack, so focus on the pods first.
    • Any nearby Fungal Filth will also aggro, so you'll want to watch your surroundings
    • The Sporpods respawn very quickly, so you can just keep using the same one if desired

Tier 3/4

  • Search for the source of the corruption
    • The area is marked on your map, at (849,430)
  • 0/2 Engage Fungal Becomings and collect samples of the Spore Growth they throw around
    • You need to kill these quickly before they finish growing
  • 0/2 Destroy Fungal Becomings and collect their corpses

Tier 4/4

  • Impale fungal creatures
    • Head to the area marked on your map, at (898,547)

The fungal ecosystem is a showroom model of chaos, every aspect of it governed by minor, rapid, seemingly random mutations with the model. We're learning a lot, incorporating its algorithms into our own formulas. Please do continue your fungicide. Every sample you acquire adds to our understanding of the various permutations of mushrooms.

Waste no time on the faerie that fights the fungi - she's of an older breed, effective in her brutality but largely insignificant in the long run. The Templars will surely be intrigued. They like their fairy tales, though history tells us she is the spawn of their Illuminati enemies.

Nice rack, Lord of the Flies. I love it when you go native. Nothing like a bit of the old ultra-violence to put the fear of the All-Seeing Eye into our foes.

Not sure what to make of the Iele. On one hand, sigh, another of the interminable magicals we're supposed to respect and protect. Survival of the fittest, I say. Most magicals just haven't evolved to compete. On the other, she's got a primal energy I'd love to exploit. You just don't find that kind of power on the streets.

We should have her headhunted. If that doesn't work, beheaded.

The Iele! What a wonderful rediscovery! I always assumed the rumours of her death were greatly exaggerated. We've had feelers out for centuries, but it's been a challenge penetrating the faerie realm. Magical protections aside, they're not particularly receptive to census reports. The forms come back completely mangled or, worse, incorrectly filled out.

It was Alexander the Great - his greatness sullied somewhat by ties to the Illuminati - who fathered the Iele and her twin sisters. The Illuminati, obviously, have no idea of her history or significance. Then again, neither does she.

Oh, and I almost forgot: nice work on the rest of it.
