REPEATABLE (Recommended Level 41)
A corrupted general, empowered by the Black Pharoah, is building an army of followers below the pyramid. Though Thutmose's powers are still strong, he is incorporeal and cannot take the fight directly to the enemy without help.
Tier 1
Thutmose said that if you were to recreate his old sigil, the Eye of Horus, you could temporarily wield his powers and dispatch the growing army led by the corrupted general. Fragments of the sigil have probably been taken by nearby Atenists. Find them and collect the fragments.
  • Go to the Reformatory
  • Get a sigil fragment from Keeper Garran
  • Get a sigil fragment from Keeper Sh'ar
  • Combine the fragments on an altar of binding
  • Use the Eye of Horus to siphon the powers of Aban the Black Nile
Tier 2
To have a chance against the corrupted general, you must first charge the Eye of Horus by siphoning the powers from all the general's subordinates. To properly absorb their powers, make sure to be close to them upon their death.
  • Siphon the power of Harbinger Sayyid
  • Siphon the power of Ahmes, the Full Moon
  • Siphon the power of Neith, the Weaver
  • Siphon the power of Azibo, the Tremor
  • Siphon the power of Adofo, the Blade
  • Siphon the power of Khepri, the Shining
Tier 3
The dark powers have been siphoned, and the Eye of Horus has been charged. The corrupted general of Aten will not be able to harm you as much when the sigil's powers are activated. Find him and kill him while you're under its protection.
  • Kill Hazat, General of Aten, while under the protection of the Eye of Horus

There are 3 tiers to this mission.

  • NOTE: In order to get credit for killing the mobs in Tiers 2 & 3, you will have to be using the Eye of Horus when the objective dies. However! - Do not wait for it to expire, spam it as needed. If it lapses just as he is killed, you will not get credit for the kill. The buff causes you to glow, and lasts for 5 minutes.

Tier 1/3

Tier 2/3

All of these are marked on your map. Keep using the Eye of Horus to get credit, and watch out for the various Atenist mobs. Sayiid, azibo and Adolfo are on the bottom level platforms. Ahmes, Neith, and Khepri are on the next level up.

Tier 3/3

  • Kill Hazat, General of Aten, while under the protection of the Eye of Horus
    • Same as the previous guys, except he walks around a lot more so may take a moment to find him. He will walk outside of his circle on the map, but generally stay on the bottom floor.

There are no false gods, only false believers. We ride in the company of Horus because Aten grows too strong, not because he is more or less real. No single set of principles (or lack of principles) must be allowed to take eternal root.

When the time comes, we will turn on Horus too.

The great failure of mind is to believe that order is stagnant - that it can be codified. We cut through this failure of mind like we cut through the armies of Aten.

May everyone beg for your allegiance, but may none be sure of it.

Imagine the current crisis plotted on a graph. The red line - the strength of Akhenaten - is trending up. The blue line - the strength of the Sentinels - has plummeted to a three-thousand-year low.

Trust that we are savvy speculators. We like the low end of this graph. The Sentinels still have things to offer - the Eye of Horus is a hell of a nice-to-have - and our end games match up reasonably well.

Most importantly, these eternals are desperate. This is the moment to make them owe us.

When the Marya first rode out against the Atenists, it was Thutmose who led them under the Eye of Horus.

The Eye was a terrific omen then. All evidence suggests that it can be again.

You have dealt a significant blow to the Black Pharoah's armies. Without a general to lead them, they will grow desperate and disorganized.

But this is no time to parade out victories. The voice of Akhenaten echoes in the chambers of the valley. It will not take him long to rally his forces and secure his unholy site.

Thutmose: In the Filthy shadow of the Black Pharaoh's pyramid, his army is made strong.
Thutmose: Their general has received all the "blessings" of the Aten.
Hemitneter: Hack him to pieces, he will only laugh and spit black tar in your face.
Nefertari: Their god is a false one, but this is the cradle of it's power.
Thutmose: My god remains true, has...been so long...
Thutmose: I do not know if he still holds court.
Nefertari: Don't let your sorrow invite blasphemy, brother.
Hemitneter: You know that we outlived our civilisation. What if we outlived our gods, too?
Nefertari: Then they live on through our Pesedjet, and through our memory they are justified.
Hemitneter: I can't believe I'm saying this, but...
Hemitneter: You're right.
Nefertari: Humility looks peculiar on you, sister.
Thutmose: Wanderer, when we rode out to face the Atenists,
Thutmose: we wore divine sigils draped upon us by the boy-king Tut himself.
Thutmose: If you were to fashion the Eye of Horus, offer it upon an altar, I will endeavour to lend you that power.
Thutmose: Wield it to cleanse the general's followers with your righteous fire. Then dispatch him.
Nefertari: So justice will be done.
Hemitneter: So vengeance will be delivered.
Thutmose: So Egypt will be protected.
