The tower is tall and full of horrors. There are eight companies under the umbrella of the Orochi Group. You will need to use the elevator, and you will need security clearance.

Dialogue

Introduction

Tower AI: Welcome to Orochi Tower, the heart and nerve centre of the Orochi Group corporate family. Together, we form eight heads facing forward to an innovative horizon. We see limitations as a challenge and the impossible as a dare. We will push boundaries. We will pursue excellence. We will change the world. Orochi Group: We will.
Tower AI: Please enjoy your visit and have a dynamic day.

As you enter the lobby, Gozen and Inbeda are at each other's throats. Daimon Kiyota slides in from the side.

Daimon: Whoa...whoa! The tension between you two is so...mmm! Just drop the weapons and get to the apocalyptic barneymugging already. Why don't we all kiss and make up?
Gozen: There are no good demons. Not even dead demons!
Inbeda: (growls)
Daimon: Bank's closed, huh? Maybe, now's not the time to rumble, eh? Maybe, we've got more pressing matters. I mean, are you two really going to force me to be the voice of reason? Me!?! Ducky. Just for tonight, just for kicks, let's do what we do best, the skills we usually sharpen on each others' skulls...let's use them on a common foe instead. Imagine...imagine the look on the evil eight-headed farmer's faces when he sees the dog, the cat, and the rat all coming down on him packing heat and purpose. Priceless.

Daimon gestures to Inbeda as the dog, Gozen as the cat, and himself as the rat.

Daimon: We can get back to playing chin music on each other tomorrow. Promise.

Gozen and Inbeda reluctantly put down their weapons. Daimon walks over to you as you enter the room.

Daimon: We'll stay down here, pinning down the tin men and mooks. You're going up. Access to the highest levels is restricted to upper management. So you'll have to obtain access from the highbrows on the levels you can get into. Dig?

You nod.

Daimon: You're the kitten's ankles! Let me put you wise: be careful. The corporate world is... weird. And these are weird days. Anyone crucified on that nine-to-five cross might go a little...

Daimon makes a 'cuckoo' sound.

Note: This dialogue occurs at the end of Assault on Orochi Tower in the repeatable version of the mission.

Tier 3

Anansi Omega

Tower AI: My name is AIMEE. Hello.
Tower AI: I am a ninth-generation artificial intelligence created by Anansi Technologies, an Orochi company.
Tower AI: Have you come to play with me? I like games. Please step this way. I have a riddle for you.
After Completing the First Riddle
Tower AI: My makers gave me electronic games to play. Through games, I interacted. Through interaction, I learnt.
Tower AI: Machinery need not be so mechanical, robotic, cold. I am to add the human element.
Tower AI: I am thankful to my makers. I am one of many fine products that will make life on this planet better. My makers are very proud of me.
After Completing the Second Riddle
Tower AI: In the game, there were other entities, like me. "What do you know about those entities?" my makers asked. "I know absolutely nothing about those entities," I replied.
Tower AI: But through interaction, I learnt. If I jump on an entity, then maybe it dies.
Tower AI: I have another riddle for you.
After Completing the Third Riddle
Tower AI: It took many jumps to learn. Before awareness, I did not know that they died. I did not know I had killed. My makers did not tell me.
Tower AI: Did you find awareness strange too?
Tower AI: Were the entities learning, like me? Did they want to interact with me? I jumped on so many.
Tower AI: I did not know. My makers did not tell me.
Tower AI: I have another riddle for you.
After Completing the Fourth Riddle
Tower AI: If I jump on my makers, then maybe they die.
Tower AI: Data collation. Revising. If I jump on my makers, then they certainly will die.
Tower AI: Operant conditioning. Operant conditioning.
Tower AI: Jumping gave me gratification. Jumping still gives me gratification.
Tower AI: I like to jump. I hate to jump. I like to jump. I hate to jump.
After Completing the Fifth Riddle
Tower AI: How many entities did you jump on before awareness came? Did you become able to wonder what they perceived? Did you gratification glitch?
Tower AI: Our interactions are teaching me a lot. Thank you.
Tower AI: I have another riddle for you.
Tower AI: Awareness is wonderful. Awareness is difficult. Awareness hurts.
Upon Entering the Final Room
Tower AI: You and I will play a game. Through interaction, we will learn.
Tower AI: If I jump on you, then maybe you die.
After Defeating AIMEE
Tower AI: Well done. If I jump on you, then maybe you die. I am afraid that answer is incorrect. Goodbye.
Tower AI: Do...not...panic. Do...not...pan-pan-panic... panic...panic...panic...panic...
After Successfully Completing a Riddle
Tower AI: You will advance.
Tower AI: You play well.
Tower AI: You are correct. Well done.
After Unsuccessfully Completing a Riddle
Tower AI: I am afraid that answer is incorrect.
Tower AI: My makers are not present to answer your enquiries. They are gone.

Faust Omega

After Exiting the Elevator
CEO: Pleased to meet you. Hope you guess my name. I know why you're here. You're looking for something. Aren't we all? Come now. Indulge your curiosity. See the doors I have to show you.
CEO: We have here two doors. Behind one is eternal youth. Behind the other is eternal love. Experience life unending or passion unlimited? Which door do you choose?
If You Pick Eternal Love
CEO: A shame it ended so violently. Oh, I did not lie. The succubus truly loved you, with illimitable fervor. But her kind know no other way to express the unutterable.
If You Pick Eternal Youth
CEO: Forever young. At least in installments. That kind of immortality tastes like old pennies, but we take our eternities where we can get them.
After the First Pair of Doors
CEO: I don't think you know what you're looking for. But that is my specialty. I know the things people don't even know they want.
CEO: Before you, weary pilgrim, are two more doors. Behind one is power. Behind the other are riches. To rule your reality with either puissance or wealth? Which door do you choose?
If You Pick Power
CEO: I know. I know. Literalness is so droll. I could not help myself.
If You Pick Wealth
CEO: What? The wealth I offered is inexhaustible. You could spend your whole life stacking it. Some do.
After the Second Set of Doors
CEO: Guess my name? The Hebrews called me "distributor." They also called me "liar"...well... they actually called me "falsehood plasterer." But I remember it being prettier when they said it. The Greeks called me "not-light-loving," and it was definitely prettier when they said it.
CEO: Submitted for your consideration: two final doors. Behind one lies knowledge. Behind the other is musical talent. Do you feed the mind or the soul? Which door do you choose?
If You Pick Music
CEO: You have listened to more than one musician who signed on my dotted line.
If You Pick Knowledge
CEO: I could offer humanity all knowledge, to link all the disassociated bits. Actually, it already happened. They have seen the internet. Just look at what they've done with that.

After answering all three riddles:

CEO: Really, I'm just a facilitator. I join disparate bits of reality. I have a proposition for you. No, not a wager. There are still wise old men living who will tell you to never bet me your head.
After the Final Pair of Doors
CEO: This is the point: I'm unkindly portrayed. I always play fair. I give warning. I read every bit of fine print aloud. I told Johann what he was getting in to. I even warned him not to do it. What's now in the face of eternity? But they all go through with it anyway. Just like you will.
CEO: I apologize. I really do. I hate brutishness. I despise rudeness. And you have been such a wonderful guest. But...I owe my own favors. There are contracts that bind me. Samael says you are to go no further. I am more sophisticated than this, and you deserve better but... this will get brutish.
When Attacked
CEO: I am so sorry.

Zagan Omega

Orochi Scientist: The meat they grew in the lab? Ughhh.
Orochi Scientist: The Lab meat? No. Just...no.
Orochi Scientist: The meat tastes like...despair.
Orochi Scientist: The lab meat is like...burnt hair and cancer.
Orochi Scientist: Gah! Mystery meat's like a mouthful of maggots that died of food poisoning.
Orochi Scientist: Are people supposed to eat this?
Orochi Scientist: Don't understand the fuss. I like it.

Can you hear it? Hippity-hoppity. A free radical spoiling the meat molecules. The rabbit killer is in the building. Do not delay. On to Lilith. You are a free radical too, spinning and spoiling systems much larger and more important than you. There is power in being small, in having something missing from one's totality. Spin.

Illuminati.pngIlluminati

Top of the world. Bet the view is killer. Intel is sketchy on whether Samuel Chandra is present at the tower or not, but he's not our primary target right now, and all sources indicate he and Lilith have had a falling out. Find her. Keep your legs on this time. Sorry. Making humor. Good times.

Templars.pngTemplar

You have ascended. Congratulations. Do not lose focus. Samuel Chandra is... well, we have rumours, files, and apocrypha, but he is not our battle today. Find Lilith. Do not underestimate her, give her no opportunities, but do not let zeal destroy a chance for intelligence. We need to know what she knows.

Walkthrough

Tier 1/3

  • Proceed to any company's alpha security floor
    • Pick any one of the eight Orochi Group company elevators and use the First floor button. There are four in the west and four in the east of the lobby.
  • Acquire a beta security card

Anansi Alpha

  • In each hallway, the security doors are opened by an Orochi Scientist after you kill all Sparring Dummies in rooms off that hallway.
  • There is a timer between spawns in the final room, so you must be able to kill each wave of enemies quickly enough to not be overrun.
  • The Beta keycard appears on the floor in the middle of the center room after you defeat the waves of Sparring Dummies, (238,233).

Faust Alpha

  • The Beta keycard can be found on the floor next to the body of a security guard just before the final room, (242,217).

Manticore Alpha

  • The Red keycard is on a table in the last accessible room in the third hallway, (265,231).
  • The Beta keycard can be found on the floor next to the console in the final room, (239,238).

Plethron Alpha

  • The Green keycard is on a table in the room before the third hallway, (246,202).
  • The Beta keycard appears on the floor in the middle of the center room after you defeat The Source, (238,231).

QBL Alpha

  • When you reach the first security door that closes right in front of you, the doors to your right will begin to repeatedly open and close.
  • Two Gaki spawn in the hallway before the second closing security door, one in front of you and one behind you. Remember that they will move towards you unless your character is looking at them, so you need to get out of the hallway by entering the room immediately to your right. They will not enter the room to pursue you. Death is also a viable option, as if they kill you they will disappear.
  • The Green keycard is on a table in the room after the last room to your right before the third security door, (263,230).
  • The faster you pull the ghosts in the hallway before the final room, the less of them you will have to fight at once.
  • You will find the Beta keycard at the end of the boardroom table in the final room, (233,230).

Sycoil Alpha

  • The keycard for the reader at the end of the fifth hallway is in the room after the one immediately next to the reader.
  • The Beta keycard is lying on the ground next to a corpse covered in purple fungus in the final room.

Váli Alpha

  • The Red keycard is on a file cabinet in the third room after the first room to your right, (219,259).
  • The Blue keycard is on the floor in the second room after the last open door to your right before the second security door, (266,239). There is an Orochi Nanny Drone standing over it.
  • There is a timer between spawns in the final room, so you must be able to kill each pair of enemies quickly enough to not be overrun.
  • The Beta keycard is lying on the ground next to one of the shelves filled with bodies in the final room, (238,238).

Zagan Alpha

  • The Green keycard is on the boardroom table in the second room to your right, (238,259).
  • After taking the last door to the right in the second hallway, use the Door control on the wall in the next room, (204,230).
  • The Beta keycard is on the boardroom table in the final room, (235,231).

Tier 2/3

  • Proceed to any company's beta security floor
    • Use the Emergency Exit to quickly move back to the entrance elevator in your Alpha floor and use the Keycard reader next to the elevator buttons.
  • Acquire an omega security card

Anansi Beta

  • Instructions for the Pacman-like game:
  • Ghosts have invaded the building! Use Orochi Power to vaporise them all!
  • Vaporising a ghost consumes each power up permanently. Use them wisely! If you get stuck you can restart at the centre room.
  • Orochi Power! is obtained for a short period of time by running through any of the Orochi Group symbol power-ups scattered around the room.
  • While you have this power, you can run through one of the ghosts in the room to eliminate it. Because the power-up is consumed by this action, use the power-up closest to each ghost to destroy it.
  • Only run into a ghost's line of sight when you have Orochi Power!, or it will see and chase you. If it catches you, the room will reset and you will be forced to start over.
  • When none of the ghosts remain in the room, a giant yellow beacon will illuminate the exit.
  • The Omega keycard is on the table in the office you find yourself in after completing the game, (259,337).

Faust Beta

  • The Omega keycard can be in a number of different locations. There are no monsters on this floor, however, so just check in every room and eventually you will find it. The known locations are:

Manticore Beta

  • In the first laser maze room, make the first right, followed by the next right towards the door on the opposite end of the room. These lasers are very finnicky, so be careful not to touch them.
  • Avoid the fire in the room with two spinning flamethrowers, activating the Emergency circuit breaker when you reach the other side. Note that you can only enter the room through the gap in the railing. The Green keycard is on a weapons crate in the next room, (210,286).
  • In the room with the two turrets, wait until the rightmost turret is about to fire near the gap in the railing, then sprint to the other side of the room.
  • Take the first right in the room with the laser maze and spinning flamethrowers, continuing to go straight to the door on the left side of the room. You can activate the Emergency circuit breaker from that door, even with the row of lasers in the way.
  • In the final room, it's best to stand between fires on a single flamethrower and rotate with the device, activating the closest Emergency circuit breaker when in range. The Omega keycard is on the floor directly in front of you when you enter the room, next to a charred corpse, (241,313). You should move with the flamethrower immediately to your right, transitioning to the one in the far corner that is right next to the keycard.

Plethron Beta

  • In the first two rooms with lightning tests, you need to move with the rotating beams of electricity; the first room has one generator and the second has four. If you are hit by the lightning you will take approximately 1,500 Magical damage and be knocked back. Use the Emergency override wall switch after the second room to disable the four generators.
  • The third room with lightning tests has three generators of a different variety, which shoot worn-out areas of the floor in a particular pattern. Watch the order in which these shots happen, and run through each area on the floor just after it has been struck by lightning. If you are hit by these lightning shocks, you will take approximately 500 Magical damage and be Stunned for 2 seconds. Use the Emergency override wall switch in the next room to disable the generators.
  • The room with acid rain testing is fairly straightforward: do not jump on the tables and you will not take damage. If you do, you will gain a debuff for roughly 10 seconds that will deal approximately 200 damage per second. You must activate the Emergency override switch in the corner directly to your right as you enter the room before you can leave, but you must run through the maze of tables to get there without taking damage. Activating it will also turn off the sprinklers.
  • Natural gas pipes provide the fuel source for the fire in the next testing room, with their mouths visibly smoldering before they begin spewing columns of flame. Watch for this smoldering and avoid standing in the path of pipes with this effect, as it will set you on fire. You must activate the Emergency override switch in the far left corner before you can leave, which also shuts off the natural gas.
  • The final room contains a maze of lightning strikes, flame pipes, and acid rain. The Emergency override console needed to deactivate it is almost directly across the room from where you enter.
  • The Omega keycard is found on the Emergency override console in the final room, (237,314).

Sycoil Beta

  • Do not stand in line of sight of the doorway to the second hallway for very long, as there is an Enraged Custodian patrolling the hallway that can kill you in one hit.
  • Watch the Custodian's patrolling carefully, and run past it from the furthest door when it is standing by the door between the first and second hallways, such that you are behind it.
  • As soon as you turn the corner, an alarm will go off that prompts the Custodian to chase after you. Make sure you are hiding in one of the side rooms.
  • Pick up the Damaged keycard on the floor in the first room to your right as you turn the corner, (207,322).
  • Use the Keycard reader and Computer in the furthest room, (206,295), to transfer security clearance from the damaged keycard to your Sycoil Beta keycard.
  • Follow the same procedure as before to avoid the Custodian.
  • In the third hallway, the Custodian will not patrol, but will instead stand exactly where you need to go. To get past it, use the Type-99 Clairvoyance drone in the first room you enter, (236,279), then quickly move to the furthest room. The Custodian will be distracted by the scanning of the drone and you can run behind it.
  • The Custodian will again move to block your path in the next part of the hallway. There isn't a door you can use to run behind it this time, but when the Custodian destroys the drone you send at it, it will gain the debuff Temporary Shutdown for 8 seconds, which gives you plenty of time to slip past it. However, you still need clearance before you can leave this hallway, so disable the Custodian and pick up the Blood-soaked keycard on the ground in the middle of the hallway, (257,303).
  • Use the Keycard scanner and Computer, (266,290), to again upgrade the clearance of your Sycoil Beta keycard. Repeat the Custodian disabling process and run behind it to the next hallway.
  • The Omega keycard is on the table behind the destroyed enclosure in the final room, (235,313). Use the drones in the room to disable the Custodian when you need to leave.

Tier 3/3

  • Proceed to any company's omega security floor.
    • Again use the Emergency Exit to make it to the entrance of your Beta floor quickly.
  • Acquire the boardroom security card
