Archaean Seismocratist

Main article: Archaean Seismocratist

Abilities

Strategy

Unless one of the DPS takes aggro from the tank, this is a pretty simple fight.

  • Flame Lash will pull whoever has aggro to the Seismocratist.
  • Caldera is a standard PBAoE - just get out of it's circle before it goes off or you'll be tossed quite a distance
  • Shadow in the Blood is the only unusual. It is a targeting circle that chases players like seen before. However, it won't stop until it catches the target. Whoever it is targeting should get away from everyone else so that only 1 person is affected, and the healer should be ready to heal them after it goes off.

Lustrehunter

Abilities

Strategy

Other than that, he will use Fallback to sun the group and run away from them. While he is away, he will use Arcane Exposure to make himself stronger. So basically just keep chasing him and hitting him (except when his shield is up) until he is dead.

Prime Maker

Main article: Prime Maker

Abilities

Strategy

  • Furnace Blast is a standard PBAoE
  • Carburising Flames is a TAoE, so even range DPS need to keep an eye out for it appearing under them, but other than that is easy to ignore
  • Reduction is a massive single-target attack that should always hit the tank, not much that can be done about it other than to keep the healing up

Draw Heat and Blast Shield are the real mechanics of this fight.

Blast Shield is a reflect shield that does the same amount of damage to the attacker as the Prime Maker takes. Which means DPS can easily kill themselves if they go all out on him while it's up. However, unlike most shields it does not have a timer or a damage limit. Instead, there are pools of water around the outer ring of the room. Whenever his shield is up, he will need to be dragged through a pool of water to get rid of it. After that has been done, the pool of water is used up for a period of time, so the tank should begin moving him towards the next pool to get ready for his next Blast Shield

Blast Shield is not an ability he can cast on his own. Instead, he uses Draw Heat to summon about 6 Fire of Sheol. These will appear in the middle of the room and work their way towards him. Each Fire of Sheol that reaches him gives him 10 stacks of Heat buff. Once he reaches 100 stacks, he can activate his Blast Shield again.

So:

  • Keep out of his 2 AoEs
  • Keep him near a pool of water
  • Don't hit him when his shield is up
  • Have someone with AoE damage dedicated to keeping Fire of Sheol away from him

Flagellatrix Superior

Main article: Flagellatrix Superior

Abilities

Strategy

There is two ways to go about this fight. If you've been handling the previous ones very easily, just wail on her and ignore the adds. Let the tank pick up their aggro and ignore them until you've killed the Flagellatrix.

However, if you you're a level-appropriate group, you're not expected to be able to handle all 4 at once. You're trying to kill her, while keeping out of sight of patrolling Piston Predator, and getting her away from them whenever she calls them.

  • Wait until the Piston Predator move away from her before engaging her
  • As soon as you're clear, jump her and go all out.
  • The tank should very slowly be working her backwards and to the left.
  • As soon as she casts Vigil she will summon the Piston Predator to her location. At that point, quickly move her clockwise around the building you were slowly circling. Goal is to stop on the west-most point of that building without the Piston Predator spotting you.
  • Continue to try to burn her down until she casts Vigil again.
  • This time, move her northwards to the left/west side of the next building.
  • Continue fighting until she casts Vigil a third time (if she's still alive)
  • Move her clockwise around your current building into the north-east corner of the encounter room

Hadean Guard

Main article: Hadean Guard

The Hadean Guard is the generic name for the 5th boss encounter in the Hell Eternal dungeon. Rather than one specific boss monster, it is actually made up of three unique monsters -- Hadean Guard, Hadean Guard, and Hadean Guard.

Abilities

The Iscariot
Brutus
Cassius

Strategy

Each of these three monsters have an ability they can use if they are the last one of the group remaining. So, the key is to kill the ones with the most dangerous abilities first so that the last one remaining is the weakest of the three.

Iscariot's Immolation Invocation ability can be extremely annoying and completely removes a DPS from the fight while it is active, so he is typically killed first. Cassius' Metallic Purity is a reflect shield and so can make the fight drag on much longer as DPS back off while it is actve. Cassius is also able to heal the others or himself for 7K per use, so he is typically killed second. Brutus' Body Hammer only affects the tank and any melee DPS and so he is typically left until last.

So, the order should be 1) Iscariot, 2) Cassius, 3) Brutus

During the fight:

  • If anyone gets hit by Iscariot's Immolation Invocation they should immediately start running so that they don't stand in the damaging AoE it constantly creates. And, they should run away from the part and around the edge of the encounter area so that no one else gets caught in it.
  • Painwheel Overdrive (Cast by Brutus or Cassius) is a generic AoE that should be easy enough to avoid. Once there is only one guard left, it can do 5K damage or more so at that point it definitely needs to be avoided.

Eblis, Dominus Inferni in Profondis

Main article: Eblis, Dominus Inferni in Profondis

Abilities

Strategy

There are basically 4 phases to this fight:

Phase 1: A fairly normal fight with only a couple things to watch out for:

  • Dark Rush will put an AoE under the 2 characters with the highest threat. Those AoE will move with the characters, and after a short time explode and do damage to anyone within their area of affect. The tank should probably stand still and keep fighting while everyone backs away from his circle. Whoever has the the second circle should get away from the rest of their group so that they do not catch anyone else within their circle.
  • Solar Collapse creates 3 AoE's around Eblis that will explode and then leave a persistent fire effect. When he casts it, the tank should move him away from those AoEs so that the group can continue to fight him without getting caught in them.
  • Consumation reduces the healing a character (probably the tank) receives, so the healer will have to be ready for their abilities to not work as well as normal while that effect is on a character
  • When he teleports to the center of the encounter area and uses Casts Out, Phase 2 will begin. This will happen when he is at about 60% health remaining.

Phase 2: At about 60% health remaining, Eblis will use Cast Out to draw all the characters towards him. He will then be healed to full health, a force dome will be erected around the much smaller area that this phase of the fight will take place within, and numerous rune-filled circular AoE's moving around within the dome will appear.

  • If characters leave the dome (either on their own or be Eblis tossing them out) they will be killed.
  • If they get caught within the moving AoEs they will take damage.
  • Painwheel Overdrive works just like it did with the previous bosses, with the added threat that this time it's knockback effect could toss a character outside of the dome
  • Vanquish basically works the same way - does damage and knockback, with the potential to knock characters out of the dome.
  • Players will have to fight him until they kill him. At that point, he dispel the dome and then use Cast Out again - this time to toss all the players away from him. At this point, phase 3 begins.

Phase 3: After killing the Phase 2 Eblis, he will return to the same amount of health he had at the end of phase 1. Players will then continue to fight him just like in phase 1.

  • This phase will continue until he is down to about 30% health remaining.
  • At 30% health he will use Cast Out again to draw the characters in to another force dome, and start phase 4.

Phase 4: This phase works almost identically like phase 2. The primary differences being:

  1. He is not healed to full health, but has the same amount of health he had at the end of phase 3
  2. When he is killed this time, he stays dead and the fight is over.
