By now you have learned that all plans tend to chaos. Where there is treachery, we have injected you into that moment to seize it. You are to ensure that none will profit from the events in this valley. Not the Morninglight, erasers of wills. Not the vampires, parasites of unlife.

Do not spare a thought for the Morninglight stooges. They are simple tools of an architect that we have long searched for. No matter how many of these tools we blunt, the architect's hand remains concealed.

Follow the blood trails to their congealing point. Find what has eluded us.

If I was out there, I would have slapped her shit. Well duh, honey, this is why your mother warned you about running off with a death cult. And to think WE get a bad rep.

Morninglight weirdness is on the up and up. We're getting some bad news out of California, worse than the usual, but that's not your problem yet. What is very much your problem is figuring out what the deal with the vampires is.

Not why they ate the kids, but why they were ever buddy-buddy with them. Vamps aren't that big on self-improvement.

Interesting bedside reading for an ancient vampire: this Prometheus Initiative does get around. As do Morninglight youth cells. Since you met that angry young woman in the forest, our contacts have been tracing the trail of wreckage this one left through Romania.

It's a thoroughly unpleasant affair, but I shan't waste both of our time rebuking you for protecting Rada. Should she survive current events, your charity may turn her away from the cult. Heaven only knows she could use the assistance.

As for the vampire connection, well, it dovetails neatly with your current assignment. Show them no quarter.

Dialogue

Introduction

Rada is dancing by herself, and then notices you coming in

Rada Nastase: Oh... You need to leave, before...
Adrian notices you talking to Rada and comes over
Adrian Zorlescu: Friends of yours? Or friends of friends?
Rada Nastase: No... Yes! From... from Bucharest.
Adrian Zorlescu: I really don't care. You're the socialite, Rada. So socialise.
Rada Nastase: What should I tell them?
Adrian Zorlescu: Anything you want. What harm could it do? Really ask yourself: what harm... Could it Do.
Adrian Zorlescu: It's too late to save anyone.
Adrian walks off
Rada Nastase: Do you dance?
You nod your head, and begin to dance with Rada
Rada Nastase: The others went back to their cabins. I haven't seen any of them, for so long it feels like days.
Rada Nastase: But that's just me, I lose count of how things come and go.
Rada Nastase: The days, the others... The midnight visitors.
Rada Nastase: All the things we've done.
Rada Nastase: Marquad came to speak with us at the castle, before... Before.
Rada Nastase: He told us we'd be close to salvation here.
Rada Nastase: Close to benediction, and that whatever sacrifices we had to make would bring us closer to the light. To the rising sun and the new dawn.
Rada Nastase: They frighten me. They...
Rada Nastase: These people aren't my friends.
Rada Nastase: My parents made me take the Morninglight personality test after I got out of the hospital.
Rada Nastase: That time feels so far away now, and so very small.
Rada Nastase: A view from space, where all around is black.
Rada Nastase: I fear we will all be swallowed by darkness soon.
